STEROIDS – The good, the bad, and the ugly.

In this post we’re talking about steroids. I’m not going to sit here and tell anyone to go on, or to not go on them, just to educate you.
1️⃣ There are different types ➡️ catabolic steroids are very common in medicines, anabolic steroids are those often abused to manipulate our bodies beyond their genetic limitations. Anabolic steroids have their place in medicine for those who cannot produce testosterone through the testes, it is when it is taken in access that you become at risk for shutting down the natural production of the hormone

2️⃣ They manipulate the genetic make up of the cell ➡️ part of the reason why steroids work so well is because they can puncture the membrane of the nucleus within the cell and change the genetic make up, that’s why no matter what your goal is (anaerobic or aerobic conditioning) steroids WILL help. This is also the reason why they are so dangerous, as tumours are all too common of a side effect and tumours are a derivitive from abnormal cells growth; hence why they go hand in hand with steroids use.

3️⃣ Studies are actually inconclusive ➡️ although all studies show steroids give you immense ceilings beyond any natural genetic barriers, studies cannot isolate adverse heart, and other organ failure/damage to the effects of steroids. All the studies can do is use deductive reasoning to isolate a cause and effect relationship. And for over 30 years, those studies have isolated steroids as cause for heart/organ failure for it’s effects of blocking certain hormones such as glucocorticoids.
Knowledge is power friends.
